"Wait, what??"

"Thinkie's Brain Age check says my brain is 62 years old. How is that even possible?" Don Mo, a 19-year-old computer science and software management student, was puzzled when he attended a Seattle Tech week event and first learned about Thinkie this summer.

Don's initial experience

Originally from China, Don is pursuing his Master's degree at the University of Washington in Seattle. He explains, "I want to enhance my brain capabilities to manage my computer science studies. I'd been looking for different options to train my brain, and that's when I came across Thinkie."

The Thinkie team asked Don to share his experience so far. Don says, "I've been using Thinkie for about a month now and I can see the benefits. I am more productive and focused on my daily tasks."

His recommendation

About the impact Thinkie has had on his studies, Don says, "Thinkie has helped improve my focus on daily tasks and has made me more productive. When I was in Drama Club and we were doing charades, I was the only one in the class who could focus and was quick enough to figure out what a person was acting out. That felt very good, very exhilarating."

When asked to whom he would recommend Thinkie, he responds, "Brain training is an investment in yourself. Thinkie helped me understand my cognitive strengths and weaknesses. I'd highly recommend it if you're managing a heavy mental workload or want to improve your cognitive abilities." He adds, "I am definitely recommending it to my sister, as she is in a prestigious and demanding program at UC Berkeley. She has to compete against many smart individuals, some of whom are 'brainhackers' and are seeking any way to gain an edge over their classmates."

Don has been using Thinkie for about 15 minutes, three times a week, for the past five weeks. “I usually do it while walking from one place to another. I keep it in my pocket and use it while walking, traveling by bus, or taking breaks in the college cafeteria." He added, "I love that Thinkie is so handy."

Sticking with it

"It took a little longer to get used to at first because I wasn't used to wearing the Thinkie band, and initially, I earned very few Thinkie points in some games. It took time to reach the daily goal of 270 points. But now I've been playing a it lot recently, although developing a habit initially was a little challenging”.

Thinkie is meant for everyone as our research team says that you can train your brain at any age -- whether you are a parent, caregiver, senior citizen, or a student like Don.
